This video was produced by Mote Marine Laboratory. A Great Hammerhead shark was caught by a fisherman and later donated to Mote. Mote Marine Laboratory does not condone the killing of sharks. ((This is the same guy that caught another huge shark recently too - 2009 - links submitted by reelshame))

Video of the shipwrecked passenger/cargo steamliner City of Houston. She wrecked in a storm near Frying Pan Shoals in 1878. She was carrying a load of cargo and passengers from New York to Galveston, TX. They were part of the western settlement.

I dont know what type of fish these guys were going for but I think its safe to assume it was probably something this big. Got to give the guy credit for not letting go of the pole.
