Hello all,
I have a question or 2. we are coming down to the Hernando beach area next week and I was curious if any of you can put us on some fish. what should we expect to be biting and best times to fish down there. We live in Nc and fish the east coast ocean quite often, but fishing in the gulf is a whole new ball game for us. It is my understanding that grouper are plentiful in the gulf just alot of undersized fish.We dont have a boat but would be willing to pay for gas and expenses or even a charter if someone could point us in the right direction. any and all info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for you time

Rob, I haven't been down to Hernando area in awhile but from what I remember there are a lot of grass flats to fish. Trout and redfish early in the morning with gulp new penny shrimp or live shrimp and pinfish if you can get them.
If you don't have a boat to get offshore, I'd suggest this guy, he's on all the forums except this one and has been on TV: www.gulfgrouper.com
There's a party boat too if you want a cheaper alternative. www.ThunderPartyBoat.com |
