What a day, Late start early finish and a bunch of nice fish!! Left WB around 8:30 am had Andrea Spillars and her family out for a day of lite Bottom Fishing and alittle Mahi bailing...Another day of lite winds and a lazy long period Swell which made for a nice run out and in, again!!! Stop just shy of 30nm on some interesting bottom that I marked the other day coming in from offshore, decided to drift since we had no wind or current and no drift..Didn't matter much the Triggers and Big Pinkies they just piled on!! It was like this till the Mahi's showed up, not 1 or 2 but a school of nice fish...Thats when the bale job began with a nice grade of Gaffers, 2 on at all times so all I could do was gaff fish, tie hooks and point which way to take the fish..Using a Mustad 3/0 live bait hooks for this type of fishing makes life real easy, no de hooking just cut it and tie a new hook on and bale!!!! With a Sea Sick young lady onboard, the blood bath and Heat was all she could take so we decided to head to the hill around 2pm..This was a great way to end a Month of Ups and downs...Back at it again Friday...
