How To Use LOOPS
A lot of our SuperMap features have where you can "view loops" of data. It's one thing to just click View Loop and leave it at that. HOWEVER, there are so many more things you can do to enhance what you get out of loops!
Let me walk through an example with you so that you can see just how View Loop fully works.
Open SuperMap and choose Satellite.
Now find GOES SST and click VIEW LOOP.
Wait for all the daily images to load.
Now press STOP at the top of the popup to stop the animations.
The ROCK button is a forward button. It takes you one by one through the daily images.
You can also use the > and < buttons to move forward and backwards through the images.
You can control the Animation Speed by scrolling the bar left to slow it down and right to speed it up.
Now look at all those small black squares towards the top. If you click on a square, it turns red. This allows you to take that particular image OUT of the lineup. If you click the red square, it goes back to green and will return to the animation lineup.
The blue square shows you which image you are on currently.
Ok, so let's go through an example of using these squares.
All the squares are active - either green or black. (When you first open a Loop the squares will be black. As you view each image, its square will turn green.)
Go through each image and if there is one that has a lot of black, does not contain data for the area you're looking at, or if you want to just skip that particular date, simply click its square to make it red.
Now as you click <and>, you only see the images you have green.
So you made an image red and don't remember what it was, but want to view it again without making it green/active - just right click the red square to view it. If you decide you want to re-activate the red square, left click it. If you want to continue skipping over it, hit the <or> button.
If there's something in the map that looks interesting to you, click zoom and take a closer look at it.
Zoom into a particular area of interest. Hit <or> - you can keep the zoomed image and still scroll through the images!
When you want to zoom out, just hit Reset.
You see, there is SO much more you can do with View Loops other than just clicking View and Looking at it scroll through images. |
