Is the Nipple far enough to see some tuna this time of year? The weather looks great for this weekend and I have been wanting to make a long run in search of troll worthy fish. _________________ "Pamela Jane"

Sean,
You might see some Blackfin's around the edge to the nipple. Most all the BFT and YFT will be out at the rigs farther offshore. But you never know as it is call fishing Sean. The sea conditions should be great all the way threw Sunday, Reefcast is showing it to be great. There were a few boats that left this morning heading out to the rigs for YFT this morning.
Good Luck & Catch em' Up,

Sean I heard of a few BF's being caught around the edge thursday but no YF's. We ran to a few rigs on thursday Ram,Marlin, and ended up with four YF chunking on the Beer Can but had to fight sharks all day. Lots of small to medium BF's 10# about the biggest we found out there. a few hoo;s were also caught around the marlin rig. Good luck around the edge when the BF are there they are some of the biggest you will ever catch anywhere (up to 28# for us). If you are out there on saturday give us a call on 68 we will be somewhere out there with you. Gene _________________ we never know but we always go |

Thanks for your report Gene. Talk to a couple of boats this afternoon that just back from the rigs from overnighters, everything was pretty slow except for Horn Mountian where some YFT & BFT were caught.

Well if Bonita are what you are looking for there are plenty of them around the nipple. Not a good freezer filling day but enjoyed hearing the drags run out none the less. Beautiful ride back in this afternoon. _________________ "Pamela Jane"
