Got a report from one of our members, some large yellowfins are at the Elbow feeding just outside of the skippy schools. Sounds crazy but cedar plugs waaaaaay back has been the ticket. They are in different size schools. Seems like 30 to 70 pound running with each other and the 70 to 108 pounders are in smaller schools.
Thanks for the fishing report Gene. _________________ Bertram 31 FBC (Runem Hard & Fishem Wet) --~~---<*)((((<>(

How long will they be sticking around? Is that common for this time of year? _________________ "Pamela Jane"

Sean The yelloefins, blackfin and bonitoes are always around the area. Pick a line from the Spur,Elbow and dumping grounds and they will be somewhere around there. There was a few whales just east of the 131 a few weeks ago, find them and you have a good chance at finding the tuna. Open water tuna are not the easyest to catch. You can NEVER run up on them. You have to be at the right place at the right time. You if see them feeding on the surface you can sometimes troll a bait waaaaaaaay back and pull it into them with-out causing them to go down deep. We don't target yf much but when we do that is what works for us. Good luck. Gene _________________ we never know but we always go |
