| Anyone here fish out of Jacksonville and could tell me how far out to the Gulf Stream? Thought about fishing some out of there since I can not fish the Gulf. I want to do some trolling and any help with infromation like best launch ramps, hotels, and troling areas would be appreciated. This oil has my crew jonesing for the sound of outrigger clips popping and clickers going off. |

You can launch any size boat at sister,s creek. It is on the north side of the Mayport/Jacksonville channel. There is always plenty on places to stay in the JAX area. You will have to travel alittle farther out to met the gulf then compared to St Augistine inlet. We fished the St Augistine area two weeks ago. Vilano Ramp will launch any size boat also with no current to contend with, like you would sister's. Fishing the edge over there is hit and miss. But you will always have a chance for that monster Hoo,YFT,BFT,Dolphin and remember to put a spread out for that Blue that is always hanging around. Head 092 degreesfor 48 miles and get set for a day that anything can come into your spread. Good Luck. Gene _________________ we never know but we always go |
