Late tonight, 8/21/08, I am switching Reefcast to be use-able for registered users of Florida-Offshore.com only. I will explain why in a minute. Registration is quick, easy, and free. Reefcast is free. If you are a visitor and want to continue enjoying Reefcast, all you have to do is sign up and sign in. If you are already a member, this won't affect you - you just sign in and go about your usual.
From a personal / community standpoint:
Most of the environment here is for registered members. Visitors are not able to see downloads, picture attachments, etc. Supermap is for registered users only, so I feel that Reefcast would better benefit our Florida-Offshore community by being for members only. Reefcast is only available here & on the other SST-Offshore.com network sites.... Our website community should be proud to be a part of something phenomenal that no one else has. Plus, while you are signed in, you get to use Supermap & fully interact with other members here. =) Why would you not want to sign up?!
From a business / professional standpoint:
Reefcast is made available and kept running because of our sponsors. Sponsors want to see site membership and activity. The more active members the better - we get the $ needed to keep the site & the tools going strong.
