Vero Radiology's seventh annual Catch for the Cure dolphin tournament = 33 boats Saturday.
1- Jane Brock of Albion caught a 34.7-pound dolphin = $750.
2- Robert Besick of Bluewater Addiction weighed an 18.5-pounder for second and $300.
3- Damon Verese of Shelly took third with 13.6 pounds to win $150 and the Calcutta.
* Top female catch was awarded to Brittani Hamilton of Endangered Species with a 13.8-pounder worth $300.
According to TCPalm, Verese, whose boat is named in honor of his sister Shelly who lost her battle with cancer last year, announced that his team's winnings would be donated to Shands Hospital in her memory. |
