For saturday trip we had a crew of five. Tim,Brad,Cliff,Jody and myself. Out of the Pensacola pass for a direct course for the Big "O". About an half a mile away it was lines in. Some thing wanted the lure more then we did. Cliff fought the beast for about 10 minutes. The first run dump over half the spool, at one point I thought we were marlin fishing, And I was going to have to run the beast down. Some how the fish got back in the area of the Big"O" and as bad luck would have it, the beast found one of the moring bouy's. Well the reason we went there was to find some bait for DD. With a load of bait it was off to the SE to try and find some different DD spots. On our first spot Tim and Brad sent down the baits in some very deep water. With-in seconds Brad was hooked up and doing battle with ,what turned out to be a large snowy grouper. Tim fell in suit a few seconds later with another nice snowy in the mid 25 pound range. Our goal today was NOT to limit on snowies but to try and find some golden tilefish in that area. We hit a few more spots and stopped our count at 15 snowies. Our search for golden tilefish had now begun. Five drops in different areas yeilded 5 golden tiles. We only caught two green eyed sharks today and after last weeks trip that was Ok. Total of 20 grouper limit.Mission completel. Would someone post pics from PFF. Please Gene

You guys are grouper magnets. I sure wish I had that kind of range on my boat.

I took the old 1kw and connected it to a back up 320C garmin scope. Then connected the 6 degree cone 2kw. to the gsd22 and extra box then to the 3010 screen. I felt like the song that goes ( you light up my world) after using it saturday. Gene

I think he is trying to give them a suntan when he pulls over them in 700+ feet of water.

great day on the water!! had a blast, except for losing a big fish to a mouring bouy. the new ducer is great, you can see the fish following your jig. they might not get a tan but if they swim under the boat they come out the other side scaled.
