Started the morning off at 5:15 we left the ramp. Pitch black so we took the ICW slow. The inlet wasnt too bad considering there was a big sportfisher infront of us. It was a nice swell, but the wind just made a real steep wind chop. We took it slow out to 28 miles, which is a spot i found on supermap! We pulled in tons of fish there, so i drop down a grouper rig with a live pinfish. I get a big hit and pull em in. NICE seabass. Really funny sight with the live baits tail hanging out of his mouth. We also picked up a huge trigger there, but sadly no grouper. A few minutes later MD hooks up with something big. I figured it wasnt a grouper because it was taking out line, but not rocking him up, not a shark because it was a more steady pull. After a probabally 7 minute fight with a hookout in one hand and the gaff in the other, I made the call AJ!!! Pull him up and grab him into the boat. We were trying to make a quick release so i didnt even think to weigh him. He was probabally 30-35 lbs. MD`s biggest fish. Get a few pics, and throw him back in. Successful release, he went back down like a bullet. Good day aboard the Reelaxin. Thanks again Dad! Would love to get in another day or two before school starts. Back at it again tomrow aboard the Swell Rider.

^ That's ok, lol... I agree with your thinking - there are folks here I know that hate eating Kings but yet they keep every single one they catch. I don't get it. =)
