We are up to 90 heroes, if you are interested please contact me as soon as possible so I can tell you how to get your boat signed up. Without volunteer boat owners we will be leaving heroes on the dock! _________________ Support www.militaryappreciationday.org |

We have over 90 heroes signed up to fish, since there has been such a lack of help from the local fishing community we have been forced to hire a head boat, but even with that we will still be forced to leave at least 10 heroes sitting on the docks wishing. If you are reading this, remember who continues to protect your rights to be able to have a forum like this. If you want to help them enjoy a day of fishing give me a shout and I will let you know how to sign up. Remember, it is at Bay Point Marina in Panama City on July 31st _________________ Support www.militaryappreciationday.org |

Hey Guys,
Just wondering how things went on the fishing trip and if you had any results of what was caught and so on, so we can post some results. I feel bad about y'all not getting enough boats unless that changed for you at the last minute?

Been a while since we have posted, been busy with retiring from the Army, moving to Florida and all the prep work for this years event...BUTTT....here it goes.
MAD 6 is set for June 4th 2011. It is a combined event at 2 locations this year, Bay Point Marina in Panama City FL and Jaycee Park in Morehead City NC. Between the 2 events we hope to host over 1500 heroes and family members this year. In PC we hope to put at least 200 heroes on the water fishing and we hope to host over 300 family members. Last year we were able to only put 74 on the water and that was mostly due to hiring the Capt Anderson for 60 of them. We had to turn over 75 heroes away from fishing, but were still able to host another 216 military and family members for onshore events and dinner. There is NO oil in the Gulf this year and we are hoping to more boaters help us out. If you or someone you know may be interested please contact me on here or go to our website www.militaryappreciationday.org and sign up. Registration is open, just hit the volunteer tab, follow the instructions and prepare for some of the best fishing memories of your life.
Thank you in advance for your support.

| Hey guys it a great organization I will be participating in my second year June 2nd at Morehead City NC and I want to tell you its one of the greatest things I have ever done,it makes you feel great, they guys you take fishing certainly appreciate it because the do not have a way to go or the equipment or the knowledge and they usually overseas fighting for you so you can go fishing and do what you want to do.Hey you going to go fishing anyway so you might as well take some guys fishing and help them forget the stress of being away from home helping them heal physically and emotionally and they are just great to be around and a window to yourself if you will just carry on a conversation with them. We have some of the best food and fellowship you will ever have and the sponsers who donate the food etc and the boats are fine people who love the military which is loving their country really, come on help if you only volunteer to serve food or you can only sit in a boat in sound and bottom fish it will be a good thing, service to them for their service to you. |
