Always good to hear from another fisherman!
I'm fairly new to this website, but I've been fishing in Fla a long time. In fact, I'm a Forida native, originally from Jacksonville.
Where do you spend the other 2/3 of your time??

Welcome Fellows. Florida-Offshore.Com is a pretty new site but it based on tech that we have been using in NC for several years. My home site is http://www.fryingpantower.com
All of the tools we have developed work all the way around the coast. So we decieded to to create sites for the rest of the areas.
You are welcome here. While I don't personally fish in Fla....I do run a LARGE headboat in NC and have fished a day or 2 in my life and I am happy to help if I can.
Dave

Thanks for the welcome, Capt. Dave. If I get up to NC I'll know where to go for some "relaxation"!
I enjoy the Florida Offshore site. I haven't had anything to post lately since we haven't been out, but I like just reading the forums, seeing how others are doing elsewhere. I also like the Reef Cast and Solunar tools.
Thanks again!

Post subject: Hello from NC.
I just got registered and wanted to say hello. I manufacture lots of goodies for the fishing crowd and am a sponsor of this great site. I actually grew up in DeLand and fished on the St John's river and out of New Smyrna beach so its like coming home after a long time.
I hope that y'all enjoy this great site and take advantage of all it has to offer because there is a lot here.

Folks,
This is Captain Bob Earl. Bob has been a sponcor of our NC site now for years. He has a GREAT online store...
http://www.southchathamtackle.com
He makes CUSTOM Big Game Gear. Everything from Gaffs to Swimming Hooks to this really really neat thing called a Pirate Plug.
Pirate Plugs started out off NC as a small sorta, check this out sorta thing and have become a Favorite amoug King Mackerel and Tuna fishermen. Why? They Kill fish plan and simple. You don;t have to believe me....hit http://www.fryingpantower.com and go into the forums and search "Pirate Plug" and read...There was a BIG argument last fall over which color killed the most fish.
So anyway...I don't want this to sound like an infomercial but Bob does make good stuff.
I am sure he will have some give aways for us coming up for you folks to enjoy.
Dave

Like Dave said, the Pirate Plugs really are awesome -

I am a NC Fryingpantower.com member currently stuck in Ga, and happily fishing the gulf. Great to see all of Capt Dave's goodies applied to the gulf. I'm sure this site will go nuts when people see reef cast and the SST maps. Capt Bob is a great guy as well, I have met him in person in Sanford, NC and I bought some of his pirate plugs. The gulf folks just don't know how much better life will be with this site up and running.

SeanSummers,
Good to see you. We have found several FPTer in these parts. BTW....There is also a Ga site to!
http://www.georgia-offshore.com/
It takes a while for people to "Change" the way they have done things for years and years. IT took a while in NC and I am sure it will take a while here.
Once the word gets out about ReefCast and they start really using it. It will not take long.

Hello, thought I would say Hi to everyone and Introduce myself. I got the saltwater fishing bug 2 years ago, so I am still learning ( fished bass all my life). I live in Crestview and launch @ Niceville. I fish out of a 28ft Hydra Sports , 22ft SeaPro CC , and 17ft Express bass boat if you see us come over and we'll swap stories. Fishing has been decent this year, we went twice last week for snapper and caught limits on some fat ones weighing 10lbs and 3 slot redfish. If I can figure out pic posting I'll add them. See you on the water |

I'm a newbie on the site. My lovely wife and I fish out of Carrabelle and have been known to tow our boat to other parts of florida on our vacations. We have a 23' sea fox. |

Hey, ya'll! That's the standard NC greeting and sounds more like "yaww" than "ya'll", but we try to at least spell correctly. We are part of a competitive king mackerel fishing team based in North Carolina, however, we fish in all southern states along the coast during the SKA Professional Kingfish Tour season. Some of our favorite tournaments are in Florida, though, and we fish up to three there per year. We actually just returned from fishing the YCOA's king mackerel tournament in Key West, which is coupled with the first pro tournament of the year. We did fairly well, finishing 21st overall in the pros. This is only our second year fishing the professional tour, on which we came out on top in our rookie season last year, snagging the Angler of the Year honors. Our junior angler, Crockett, also nabbed Top Junior Angler of the Year. Our next tournament this season is located in Jensen Beach, FL, the second pro tourney of the year, piggy-backed with the Frances Langford Memorial KMT. This tournament, besides being in a beautiful location, will always hold a dear spot in our hearts, because we won it last year. Anyway, I guess that's enough about us. You can read more, view photos, and watch videos on our website, which is linked below. Have fun and take care! _________________ Liquid Fire Ladies

Just signed up to the site today. Found out about it through the Pensacoal Fishing Forum site.
I love to fish when I'm not hunting! I have a 20' Nautic Star 2000 Offshore with a 200 hp Suzuki 4-Stroke and fish in the Destin, FL area. A typical Saturday for me during the summer is to get out and fish early and then cool off and party at Crab Island in the afternoon! |

Hello Floridians! Have known about this site thru Frying Pan Tower (NC site) and Amanda (blueoceaneyez) but hadn't had the "need" to join before. Well, it turns out that I'll be spending/working March - November in Crystal River, FL... so now I'm real interested in the site .
My better half (Marisa) and I fish out of Southport, NC, fished Div 9 of the SKA for the first time last season, run the same model of boat as Amanda, and just love being on the water out of sight of land.
I'm looking forward to spending the Summer in Crystal River and seeing what the area has to offer. I see it's "Home of the Manatee"... are those tasty . (Sorry if I offended anyone with my attempt at humor on my first dang post ).
