i am coming down to marathon 2nd week in may to do some fishing. im bringing a 17' proline with me. i am from sc and part of the sc & nc websites. what can i expect to get into down there? and maybe someone can give me some points of intrest to fish so i won't be fishing blind. i came down last year and the tarpon were starting to show up on the bridges. like to get into some dophin. how far out is the deep water? want to do some trolling. any help would be greatly appriciated

You picked a great time to go down. Some of the biggest slammer dolphins are caught during that time. If it's a nice day run just past the reef and start looking for man O war ( friget's) birds making a circle in the sky about 2000 feet up. They are tracking most likely big bulls. If the wind is blowing to hard for you to get out in the Atlanic, just shoot over to the gulf side and put out a chum bag in 12 feet or so of water. Lots of snapper and red grouper that time of the year. But please don't take them all, We will be down the third week of May. Have a good trip down there. Gene and CREW
